Review of Key Largo (1948) by Chad W — 25 Jul 2011
Keeping us inside that hotel for most of the film ratchets up the tension simply by keeping the characters on their toes about one another. Bogie and Robinson both give commanding performances as the soldier and mobster racing towards a clash, and most of the cast do a good job of filling out their characters under Huston's assured direction.
