Review of Kes (1970) by Ol W — 31 Jan 2010

I am a fan of Ken Loach's films, and this one did not disappoint. I did wonder whether a film all about a boy learning falconry would sustain my interest, but thankfully it turned out to only be a really small part of the film as there was lots of other interesting things going on.

I was surprised to see a younger Lynne Perrie (aka Ivy Tilsley from Corrie) playing his mum!
