The first stoner-war movie before all the Vietnam war spin-offs. Here are some of the most masculine war movie/cowboy stars sending themselves up in a plot where, eventually they are all saved by the hippies.
Throw into that making friends with the Nazis and you're all set for one hell of a funny/catchphrase filled movie. Perfect party-movie. "Woof woof - that's my dog impression".
