A solid old school war vehicle about burned out soldiers who see an opportunity to get their own slice of the war spoils and set out, en masse, to do just that.

Nazi gold bars in a bank behind enemy lines, that doesn't deter these battle tested group of specialists that "borrow" ordinances from the depot along with a few tanks that are sitting idle.

The resistance is actually pretty fierce and there is a real "Saving Pvt Ryan" feel to the movie which is no short supply of Germans to blast through.

Eastwood is at his best and the surprise cast of Rickles, Sutherland, Savalas really plays well in this movie.

Lots of drama, laughs, explosions and gun fire all set in a Yugoslavian location makes for a very real feeling flick.
