Review of Keeping Up with the Steins (2006) by Anthony I — 12 Apr 2014
Talk about obscure. I saw this one sunday afternoon with about three other people in the theater with me. It's an interesting take on Judaism in America and the pomp and circumstance that comes with one's bar mitzvah.
But it could've honestly been a lot better. It's about as cliched a movie as you could possibly get, right down to the obligatory musical guest appearance by Neil Diamond. In terms of an Ethnic comedy, It never comes close to the brilliance of "Moonstruck".
.. hell.. not even "My Big Fat Greek Wedding".
