Review of Keeping the Faith (2000) by Mark Amanda R — 07 Dec 2007
You just know when the film opens with Tom Waits' "Please Call Me, Baby" that this isn't the conventional romantic-comedy, but the charm of this film is in fact its indulgement of the conventions and something very left-field.
This is squarely down to Norton, knowing exactly the tone he wants and bringing in a fantastic cast; his chemistry with Stiller is brilliant, but then there's Elfman, the right mix of beauty and fun, and even Eli Wallach and Anne Bancroft.
Great fun.
