Review of Keeping Mum (2005) by Sol H — 10 Jul 2009
It's this sort of film that epitomises the problems with British cinema.
The film has no scope. It would be a mediocre TV-movie.
It's a comedy, but it's not really is it. It's a 'light-comedy' which basically means it isn't funny.
So yeah; decent enough performances and such, but just a film content with being a boring little British affair.
And also, it completely condones murder which is just bizarre and doesn't fit with the film's tone in the slightest.
Personal enjoyment: 3/10.
Actual quality as a film: 4/10.
