Review of Keeping Mum (2005) by Douglas L — 15 Nov 2011
An interesting film with great subtle performances. Atkinson plays a newer reformed priest that has definitely affected all his family members lives. The wife has an affair, the daughter is a bit of a ho and his son is bullied for being the priest's son.
Then this nanny comes along and changes everything. The characters are pondered greatly, esp. Atkinson's. He learns that he can be who he wants to be and be a priest. Having a strong need for a stable family is the value of this film.
The murders were just plain weird, yet intriguing at the same film. A different film, but a fairly good one.
