Review of Keane (2004) by Gen S — 20 May 2008
If there is going to be an actor's face to keep the camera on for 90 minutes, Damian Lewis' is one of the best. The film really lacks other character involvement and development; however, I saw this film as being from Keane's perspective so the lack of other characters makes sense.
We never really know what is going on, if everything is in his head or if it is real or what. This is definitely a unique movie and Damian Lewis carries it well. There is no real beginning, middle, and end; it is just a segment of Keane's life at a (probably) significant time.
