I know the idea of a genie played by a basketball player with no acting talent who comes out of a boom box and grants wishes to a kid with emotional problems due to his parents' divorce and his relationship with his estranged father, while the genie gets distracted with the beginning of a rap career.
..SOUNDS like a GOOD IDEA FOR A MOVIE...but somehow none of that managed to click. Go figure. TERRIBLE MOVIE.
