Review of Katy Perry: Part of Me (2012) by John S — 20 Aug 2012
It does in fact seem like it's just meant to be a big PR move at times, it doesn't delve nearly as deep into her personal life and convey as much emotion as I was hoping for, along with being too much of a concert movie instead of a documentary, and dragging on a tiny bit, but what this movie does is make you see that Katy Perry is truly one of a kind.
A woman with a funny sense of humor, full of silliness, who kept fighting to make it big no matter how many people told her she couldn't, who broke free from her parents strictness and wasn't scared to be herself even though it was controversial to her family's religion.
This movie really showed how likable she is and how much she cares about her fans, and never disappoints anyone no matter how exhausted she is, and performs the hell out of all her shows.
