One of the best buddy movies I've seen. I don't know why they called it Kamikaze Girls here in America when it's real name is Shimotsuma Story, but whatever. Really great movie. It has a style similar to Amelie mixed with a really weird acid trip and tons of japanese pop culture references.
A feel good movie that I can watch over and over and never get tired of it. Kinda cartoonish, but that's part of it's appeal. If you liked Amelie, or you just want to see something different, give Shimotsuma Story a try.
Unless yoú got something better to do, like saving the dolphins and the trees or something.
