Review of Kamikaze Girls (2004) by Leah C — 09 Sep 2011
Gorgeous, hilarious, sweet and full of punch! These girls seem so real and I loved every moment with them. Momoko is a very frank young woman who fell in love with lolita fashion as a means of escape from her less-than perfect life and broken family.
Ichiko is a tough and feisty yanki girl who joined a female biker gang after years of bullying became too much to handle. The two girls lives' come together when Ichiko replies to Momoko's sale advertisement for fake designer clothes.
Gradually, the two become closer - still very much a lolita girl and a yanki biker, but with a newfound appreciation of one another. Definitely a keeper!!
