Review of Kama Sutra: A Tale of Love (1997) by Ante P — 11 Aug 2009

I loved Mira Nair's approach to sexuality in "A Tale of Love": every erotic scene was filmed beautifully, and none of them felt gratuitous or exploitative. Of course, they are only a minor part of this movie, but they help drive the story forward.

The story is interesting, but the pace is slow and some of the characters are underdeveloped, which ultimately hurt the movie, especially its ending, which was supposed to be touching, but left me cold.
