Review of Kalifornia (1993) by Bo K — 17 Oct 2007
Things Kalifornia taught me: (1) It's a true shame Brad Pitt is typecast as 'handsome guy that stands around,' because unlike most pretty boys, he can act like crazy. (2) The 90's were a horrible, bleak time, where women took a 10 year break from being attractive. (3) Juliette Lewis should get shot in every movie (even animated Disney movies). (4) Dave Duchovny's minor fame is entirely a result of luck.
Some interesting moments, Pitt is stellar, but the movie has no consistency, too many drawn out portions, and an undesirable cheesiness to it.
