This movie is hardly the most entertaining road movie, the dark overtones held keep the standard steriotypical backbone fresh. And fine performances all around contribute to this being more than a by-the-numbers film.
But it still feels a little dull at times. And the visuals are never really tapped into enough to make it feel independent.
