Review of Kalifornia (1993) by Jasmine S — 24 Sep 2010

I don't understand all the negative reviews, but being a college student born in the early 90's, i'm not as bitter about how this movie supposedly knocks off others near this time.

Juliette Lewis played Adele beautifully, and I really thought of her as an essential character that brought the film a more human innocent atmosphere. Of course, I also loved Brad Pitt and was really glad to not see him cast as the pretty boy hero. (Although he still looked good underneath all that hair!) He is great in the role of a twisted redneck. Over all, however, the plot had a couple of dry spots and the rest of the characters were pretty flat. It is still a good movie to watch on a rainy day in.
