Review of Kagemusha (1980) by Erin E — 07 Jan 2008
Wonderful visuals, great shots, an involving and tragic plot, but I must say the impact this film potentially could have had on me was somehow lost in the midst of 500 consecutive shots of horses dying from different angles.
Just was too drawn-out. Not that I mind films being drawn-out at all, but they really must be done very deliberately. I'm not saying this wasn't good, as I did fully enjoy it, but I don't think I could watch this one in one sitting.
