Review of Kagemusha (1980) by Him C — 16 Jan 2010
Despite the typical art direction, Kurosawa seems to have gotten confused here. Either confused or pretentious, Kurosawa mixes breathtaking colors (holy cow...) and a powerful, climatic battle scene, making it a very nice predecessor of Ran. Be it as it may, Kagemusha is a feast for the senses and it was even transmitted a tragic, Shakespearan atmosphere. Great work.
85/100.
