Review of Kaboom (2010) by Kyle K — 05 Mar 2011
Gregg Araki blends Mysterious Skin and Nowhere, and it works. It seems like a lot of people hate it, and it's not even in the same league as Mysterious Skin... but still great. It's fun, and its sexual insanity is something that should be applauded in such a prude environment.
The acting is fun, the direction is insane, the music rules, and if you liked his previous films Kaboom is a classic return to his roots.
