Review of Kabluey (2007) by Callie M — 03 Nov 2008
Very quirky, st times depressing film about a mom coping with her husband who is posted in Iraq. Lisa Kudrow does a great job at portraying the mother of 2 who I slowly crumbling as she waits for her husband's return.
Prendergast plays the lazy brother in law who comes into the household to help with the children. The scenes where Pendergast is working as the company mascot Kabluey are funny at times, although all but one seem disjointed from the film.
I thought there was a lot more there that could have made this film a lot more enjoyable. For what it is though, it's not bad.
