I love it because it dares to deal with deep feelings and showing feelings. Taking serious stuff seriously.

Kajol's happy, spontaneous Anjali as well as the warm affection between the male members of the Raichand family; where it's OK for a man to weep, hug and even kiss another man. The fathers in the film are loving and present, this is very distant from the Western (?) idea of childrearing as an entirely women's business. The dance scene among the pyramids is absolutley beautiful and very erotic. I can see this film over and over again.
