KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA is an excruciatingly painful film to watch for. The film lumbers along for three hour and thirteen minutes during which even the most patient viewers might commit suicide. I immensely enjoyed Karan Johar's directorial debut ''KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI'' which is amongst my favourite films list. It had heart in it's right place, the characters and dialogues were smartly written along with fabulous performance from the leads and some beautiful warm moments. His next film ''K3G '' was extremely disappointing.

KANK depicts the love which destroys the entire relationships which was going on. The major problem of KANK is that there is no emotional connection with the characters which are carboard caricatures, You actually don't feel sympathy for them who gets confused and lost in the love which will only give them guilt throughout the life. In KKHH & KHNH, The emotional connection was established with the character, because the acting was convincing. Unfortunately Weak Performance is the biggest drawback in this film.

SHAH RUKH KHAN & RANI MUKHERJEE are not in element form, their tears once touched your heart but now their sobbing sequence cringes me with embarassment and laughter, PREITY ZINTA & ABHISHEK BACHCHAN are the only actors who sparkles, earnest. Nevertheless, it is KIRRON KHER & AMITABH BACHCHAN the real eye-sore who irritates with their over-the-top & embarassing acting. The story (written by SHIBANI BATHIJA) is un-interesting and dragging.

The only advantage of the film is SHANKAR-EHSAAN-LOY's credible music & Picture-postcard photography of New York and Philadelphia by ANIL MEHTA, he takes full advantage & uses the skyscrapers and parks in various points in the film to accommodate the changing emotional balance in the dialogue.

KABHI ALVIDA NAA KEHNA is an exhausting watch filled with ample of high melodrama. OVER-SENTIMENTAL TO IT'S FAULT.
