Review of Kaal (2005) by Donovan D — 11 Feb 2008
Awful and awfully exploitative Hindi film that attempted to push the boundaries with a horror story. There are times where the film does succeed, but these moments are few and far between. For the most part, the film is cliched beyond belief and is more an excuse to show off the fine physiques of the good looking cast, including an 'item number' at the beginning that has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE FILM.
The cast try their best to make the most of the laughably bad dialogue, but come across as caricatures of horror movie characters rather than characters of distinction. In other words: Avoid yaar!
