Kevin Spacey soared to great depths in his role, K-pax is a sci-fi/drama. It's purpose to have you thinking throughout the whole movie. was he or wasn't he out of this world visitor?
I must say I was convinced at times, with unexplained phenomem, but ultimately the audience is to decide at the end there own conclusions. Mine: Spacey was human with a multiple personality's and who suffered signs of mental illness triggered by a sudden tramatic event. It's a scientific fact people have been able to cheat polygraphs and hypnosis.
