Review of K-19: The Widowmaker (2002) by Tari L — 24 Mar 2007
I didn't even realise that the movie was dragging until I caught myself working out how long there was left to go! It was wonderful to see this story told from a Soviet point of view rather than the seemingly inevitable American slant on every movie that comes out of the US.
Comparisons to 'The Hunt for Red October' and 'Crimson Tide' are probably inevitable, but unfortunate as this is a totally different movie. Don't see it if you want an action flick.
