Review of K-19: The Widowmaker (2002) by Zurina . — 25 Feb 2008
The movie has been underated and I'm not sure why except... well, the choice to make this film in English with the Irish accents and Harrison Ford trying so hard to push for a Russian accent kind of spoil the movie a bit, but that does not affect the moving and high drama sequences in the movie, I feel.
Otherwise, Harrison Ford's and Liam Neeson's performances are highly commendable. The movie combines suspense, terror, and melancholy. What does one do when you are torn between saving lives and the need to defend your country's honour?
