Review of Justin Bieber: Never Say Never (2011) by David H — 22 May 2011
Ok, Ok, I know what you're thinking. This is what happens when David gets bored and has multiple free coupons for the RedBox machine. So I decided to check it out because I saw a story on ABC's 20/20 saying that the film is actually a documentary, and I thought I'd see what all the buzz with this kid is about.
Well, the movie is more of a hybrid documentary/concert movie. If you can get past the screaming girls, and over indulgence of pop music, it's actually an interesting look at how YouTube and social media helped create a phenomenon.
I'm still not a fan of the music, but I must admit that it was surprisingly not as horrible as I had anticipated, and actually somehow interesting. Who knew, lol?
