Review of Justice League: War (2014) by Dan F — 12 Feb 2014
It lays the groundwork for a good JLA origin, though Darkseid feels like a bit of a non-entity and there are two many characters played for laughs (Wonder Woman feels like an Anime character lost in translation).
It also feels like a condensed version of The Avengers movie, even if the source material does predate that. Treated to an extended running time or even the two part treatment, this could stand alongside Oliva's excellent Dark Knight Returns or at least the solid Flashpoint Paradox.
As it is, it simply feels rushed and underdeveloped.
