I suppose that because I was introduced to the New Teen Titans in the 80's when the title was super hot, I just can't get into the latest treatment of the franchise. I preferred Raven as a mysterious, understated, suffering empath who vanished in columns of smoke and sent her soul self after bad guys when she engaged in a fight.

The new goth girl with generic energy powers is a sad waste of one of DC's most original modern characters. To add insult to injury, there were elements of Titans Go in their feature. It'll probably be popular overseas.

I'm also tired of Damien Wayne using up all of the oxygen in DC's latest animated features. Am I finally too old to be able to enjoy these cartoons?
