Review of Justice League: The New Frontier (2008) by Cyndi R — 30 Jul 2008
Way too Rushed. I loved the way the film was evolving in the beginning but then all of a sudden it jumps to the end. It does not feel complete, unlike "Batman: Mask of the Phantasm" .
Kid's movies usually have very short running time, but this movie is not meant for kids in any way as it is the most violent DC animated film I have seen.
The animation is good as well as the voice acting. If the movie had 30 more mins of development, it could have been a much stronger film. The film is overall entertaining and good, but it had the potential to be so much more.
However, I am excited that WB animation may make "Dark Knight Returns" animated film based on Frank Miller's (Sin City, 300 guy) graphic novel 22 years ago, where this film would serve as a proper set up.
