Review of Justice League: The New Frontier (2008) by Notanalias J — 11 Apr 2008

JL:NF was the first of the newest direct to review DC movies, and they're not your average saturday morning cartoons. For example, it starts with a suicide. But don't let that fool you, its an intense and beautifully drawn film. I was expecting the silver age art style to put me off, but I found myself liking it immensely. Political undercurrents were hinted at and characters were rethought. A sweet adventure for everyone who appreciates the Justice League.

If there were any problems with this movie it was that its just way to short to rebuild the DC world, characters were brought from the ground up, a world was put into place and a threat came into being. All that in an hour? It seemed rushed.
