Review of Justice League: The New Frontier (2008) by Luke B — 22 Feb 2009
Animated in a style to reflect the Cold-War era of it's setting. Depicts the political climate of McCarthyism / xenophobia surprisingly well.
Subplot includes the Golden Age era of superheores handing the baton to the new Silver Age DC guys, specifically recounting the origins of Green Lantern and The Flash. NOT for the kiddies - graphic violence abounds, made for adults.
An all-star voiceover cast, based on the fantastic graphic novel mini-series by Darwyn Cooke.
