Review of Justice League: The New Frontier (2008) by Nick B — 15 Apr 2009
Unfortunately, the book is my favorite graphic novel. So I couldn't bare with all of the problems.
The dialogue was condensed, therefore not as good as the book's. The pacing was a little off. The graphic novel did such a great job of pacing the story and the cartoon just didn't seem to believe so.
Neil Patrick Harris as The Flash was great! Same w/ Lucy Lawless as Wonder Woman and Jeremy Sisto as Kyle MacLachlan as Superman. It did a good job of telling the origins of certain characters (Green Lantern #2, Martian Manhunter), but still not as good as "DC: The New Frontier" did.
All in all, I still enjoyed the comic being brought to life. The animation was top-notch and remained very true to Darwyn Cooke's style.
