Movie pays tribute to the dawn of the Silver Age of comics. Love the retro 1950's look to the characters. The movie is set during the end of WWII and the beginning of the Cold War. American people start to believe that they do not need the aid of superheroes anymore.
The Justice Society disbanded and people start to fear heroes such as the Flash because of his "Commie Red" suit. When an otherworldly threat comes to attack Earth - Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman put a team together to fight this new enemy.
Clever take on the origin of the Justice League.
