Review of Justice League: Doom (2012) by Kyle E — 08 Mar 2012
Justice League: Doom arrives as a very enjoyable adaptation of one of the more recent interesting comic storylines, albeit a rather short and at times confusing release. The reason I point out confusion, is that there are some rather big differences that are taken from the original storyline and here. None of this ruined my enjoyment of the film.
The best thing about this adaptation is that all of your favorite voice actors are back, with Kevin Conroy, Nathan Fillion, and Tim Daly filling in their respective roles of Batman, Green Latern, and Superman, that's a gigantic plus right off the bat. It is interesting that Batman would create a contingency plan for each member of the JLA, but not tell any of them at this. The action is fierce at times, which I always loved about these shows growing up, and I love that the art style used in the 90's is relatively the same, if being a bit touched up.
Overall my biggest complaint about this entire thing is that is just a bit short. At 1 hour and 17 minutes, there isn't much time to get a story out, yet it comes off nicely. Worth it, only if you are just a huge fan of these characters, or if your like me, Batman.
