Review of Justice League: Doom (2012) by Maruf H — 28 Jun 2013
This is the Justice League that needs a live-action iteration; however, the same can't be said for the Legion of Doom. The Legion in the cartoons was a group of baddies that all wanted to take down the League, but while the Legion in this film is perfect to take on the League one-by-one, they fail as a threat and at teamwork in their ensemble.
Savage himself doesn't give any reason to fear him as he is only an immortal Lex Luthor. The animation style is grittier, and feels much more mature than other DC Animated Universe films, and the depth of the story follows suit.
What makes a story like this great is Batman reminding the audience that even superheroes have weaknesses.
