Review of Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (2010) by Brad G — 24 Feb 2010
Fun, but kinda boring take on the so-called classic Crises of Infinite Earths storyline. The voice cast is really goofy, but I found myself chuckling along to James Woodsâ?? Owlman and William Baldwinâ??s Batman: â??Itâ??s not smoke, itâ??s anesthetic gas.
â?? Chris Noth, Mark Harmon, Brian Bloom, Josh Keatonâ?¦really, these are Earthâ??s Mightiest? I will say that I really liked the opening chase with good guy versions of Lex Luthor and The Jester, Earth 2â??s Joker and Owlmanâ??s ultimate nihilistic plan is pretty fantastic.
So, not as good as DCâ??s New Frontier or Wonder Woman flicks but itâ??s way better than last yearâ??s Public Enemies. I will say that the real reason to pick up this dvd is the Steve Nilesâ?? scripted Specter short film.
Itâ??s an amazing 70s exploitation crime/horror tale and I wish this had been the next DC Direct-to-DVD movie. Crises of Two Earths: VF. The Specter: Not VF.
