Review of Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (2010) by Aaron C — 24 Feb 2010

This animated feature culminates in a resounding "meh". For every action scene or interesting development there was a matching detraction. Most of my gripe comes from the mismatched voicework.

Superman and Batman are unconvincingly portrayed by Mark Harmon and William Baldwin. Perhapse I've just become accustomed to Tim Daly and Kevin Conroy but I have enjoyed others' work (i.e. Deidrich Baker's Batman).

They just don't match up very well. The second big problem was the somewhat awkward art style. Now, I haven't read the corresponding story arc to this but the interior art I have seen. The design is there but not the execution.

Batman always looks like he's got a stuffy nose, ect. Just little things here and there that drove me crazy the whole time. This pales in comparison to Superman/Batman: Public Enemies. A weak offering with a mixed bag of highs and lows.

In fact I can narrow down the highest point in the movie to one Batman line, "Be careful Aquaman. They're stronger than you!".
