DC continues to crank out enjoyable animated movies and this is no exception. Borrowing heavily from multiple sources including Grant Morrison's JLA : Earth 2, we meet the Crime Syndicate and basically get to the fighting right away.

The animation, as always, is beautifully done and the storyline is fun too. The only place that this entry is really uneven is in the voice casting. First things first, James Woods owns the Owlman character. A villain who has so little regard for life and is so done with everything that he plans the ultimate murder. The rest of the cast...honestly I wasn't too impressed with. Gina Torres turns in a predictable Superwoman as does Mark Harmon with his turn as Superman. The rest, including William Baldwin's horrendous Batman (it's fine at first but gets really bad by the end) didnt' feel as good as previous casts of other DCAU movies.

In the end I'd place this as slightly better than Superman : Doomsday, but not nearly as good as Wonder Woman, New Frontier or Green Lantern : First Flight.
