Review of Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths (2010) by Jason B — 25 Apr 2010
The Justice League travels to a parallel universe where there villainous counterparts control the world and they must introduce justice to an Earth that has lived in a reign of terror that escalates into a threat to all reality.
This is another great entry into the DC Comics direct to DVD animation line, with some great voice talent and animation style. There are tons of characters floating around in this film and it is fun to pick them all out but even if you are unfamiliar with the DC Universe the film doesn't rely on that knowledge.
The truly impressive part of Crisis is the fight choreography. It's clear a lot of research went into the fights as each character has a distinctive fight style that hasn't been seen in American animation.
Batman's martial arts style will never be mistaken for the grecko-roman fighting style of Wonder Woman. Ultimately this film is a real slugfest with the heavy-weights of the DC Universe and I wouldn't have it any other way.
