Review of Justice League (2017) by Anuj & A — 05 Mar 2018
It's Bad.
It's barely a Zack Snyder film - somehow barely a Joss Whedon film. But ALL Warner Bro's and their corporate focus groups.
This feels and comes off more "Saturday morning cartoon" than "Major Tent-poll blockbuster" in a bad way. It's actually fascinating in some ways in that respect. You can see all the wrong decisions being made as the characters are perpetually stuck in their "pre-render" stages.
While many in the audience will sit and watch brief glimpses into what might have been, they are systematically slapped back into where we actually are by a rushed to the finished story that just seems to be a waste of all the work that lead up to this point. Someday we may get to see the real film and vision that was created - until then we have this semi-souless double episode of "The Super Friends". Which can be enjoyable but amounts to nothing more than forgettable.
