Review of Justice League (2017) by Goblin R — 22 Jan 2018
I thought the film was actually very entertaining and does not remotely deserve the stink people give to this project. If people are looking at images and scenes online, there is just no way to judge this picture based on those images because its a poor representation of the actual film. The effects for the most part are quite good and very few actually make me scratch my head. In fact none of them reach that level. It's an entertaining story and I thought the villain was fine. I would prefer something a little less known to allow room for all of these heroes to breath.
Does it reach the level of the Avengers? No not quite. But I don;t say that in hate of the film or to suggest its well below it. That's not true at all. The movie just has some weak moments with characters. I didn't care for Flash's humor and Aquaman was just weird. His rhythms were too mid-western to be some guy who came from another civilization under sea. It didn't come across as an honest construction of a fictional hero so much as someone they just wanted to make charming without any reason to his background. It's a good movie though overall. I definitely recommend it.
