Review of Justice League (2017) by Junaid S — 02 Jan 2018
As a more casual comic book fan, I found myself quite enjoying this film. It has clearly been influenced by the lighter hearted Marvel films, and comes with a more upbeat, humerous offering than Dawn of Justice.
Highlights include the quirky portrayal of the Flash, and Superman being exactly what he should be - a god-like, inspirational character. Cavil's portrayal of the character has grown on me since his first apperance.
Points were lost for the change to the characterisation if aquaman, who to even a casual fan seemed quite different from his previous portrayals, and the ease with which Superman was returned to life. I would have preferred a more conflicted Bruce Wayne over whether doing so was right, and a greater tease over whether he wpuld return good or evil before it was made clear.
