Review of Justice League (2017) by Jess_Hill — 16 Dec 2017
This is a film which, like so many of its predecessors, suffers from poor execution and mediocrity. Wonder Woman, Flash, and Aquaman carry the rest of the characters, and it feels like an opportunity lost, as the fragmented storytelling, awful CGI, and unpolished cinematography detract from the storyline.
The script has some fun moments, and the performances are solid, but this feels disconnected, with no sense of investment in the outcome. Continuing the tradition of taking itself far too seriously, there is no singular aspect that utterly ruins this, and it is fairly well paced, but overall it is a predictably mediocre experience.
