DC just can't set up a good cinematic universe just like Marvel did. This movie is entertaining, cool and very fun, but most of the characters and arcs are bland and poorly developed. As well as Steppenwolf, who was an awful villain with gross CGI and a bad portrayal.
This movie reflects the problem in the blockbsuter genre nowadays - DCEU just wants to keep up to MCU, but doesn't know how to be slowly patient or focused in Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg solo films.
Imagine the good movies we could have.
