Review of Justice League (2017) by Gabe L — 01 Dec 2017
Marginally better than Suicide Squad, a heck of a lot better than Batman v Superman, but miles away from Wonder Woman. About on par with Man of Steel, but with a weaker cast, despite actors we know are capable of better than this.
But there's only so much the likes of Gal Gadot, Ezra Miller, and Ben Affleck can do with this atrocious material. The film feels like a PS2 video game with live action cut scenes, and while it dims my hopes for the upcoming Aquaman film, Affleck's inevitable exit makes me feel better about a possible Matt Reeves solo Batman movie.
Justice League is enough of a joke to get me more excited for the inevitable reboot, and I hope the executives and producers at WB learn the right lessons from this movie's abject failure.
