Review of Justice League (2017) by Jessa K — 26 Nov 2017
If you want a marvel movie go see a marvel movie. DC it's aiming to deliver a darker a darker story while trying to navigate the family friendly superhero maze that is the Disney empire. I feel that critics hated this movie because it didn't have marvel's continuous slap stick humour and endlessly cheesy one liners that are only funny on the first viewing.
Sadly Joss whedons additions were very obvious to spot and I expect this came from higher up wanted to make the movie more marvel like, because apparently we have all been brainwashed into thinking that that is the only way to make a superhero movie now.
I would have loved the movie to have been a bit longer, but with the time they were given, I feel that each character was evenly balanced and the cast chemistry and playing off each other was effortlessly done and easy to enjoy.
The new additions to the team, flash, cyborg and aquaman, easy clicked into place and wasn't over complicated by a heavy back story. The Easter eggs spread throughout the film gave comic fans nostalgic feels Andhra me going back a second time to see the pieces I miss I loved this film and the direction it's headed and I look forward to many more adventures in the DCEU.
It's time for something fresh to hit the screens.
