Review of Justice League (2017) by Ariel M — 27 Nov 2017
Justice League was an honest...meh. I am being honest with myself and all of y'all. I really didn't feel overwhelmed by anything in this film. The Avengers films make me feel, this was just another movie I saw this month.
It's unfortunate, since it's the damn Justice League, like it's a childhood dream playing right before me but I felt nothing. I think it has to do with how rushed it all feels. I didn't connect with any of the characters, just felt like a rushed intro and boom we're in action.
I understand that DC is trying to catch up to Marvel and their MCU but what's strained here is the familiarity and depth of the characters. Characters like Aquaman, and The Flash were the most intriguing but we pretty much just had moments with them paused until their own films are released.
This was an enjoyable film, but that's unfortunately it. It hurt to type that but, I haven't lost faith in DC. 6/10 ?? -A.
