Review of Justice League (2017) by Jade B — 25 Nov 2017

This movie provided a few good laughs. It is quite obvious that Batman has a crush on Superman, and that is the only personality they provide him with. Superman is a smug block of muscle with no real personality either. He waltzes in after dying and tells his wife he'll save her. Who is he to decide that she needs saving? Furthermore, when he sees his mother he gives her the cockiest smile and waits for her to walk up to him with that infuriating smirk.

Wonder Woman is a strong character in this movie, but I would like to point out a few flaws in her outfit. For one, she has her thighs uncovered, which leads me to wonder what she would do if someone threw a javelin at them. She also has her hair constantly out, and with all the acrobatics superheroes perform, I wonder how she keeps it out of her eyes. Wonder Woman also has an unrealistically large number of sisters (who, by the way, all look the same), so she must have had a very active mother.

The best character in this movie was the monster. All he wanted was his mother's love, and he was determined to get the little box. He persevered through the struggles these pesky superheroes provided him with and only lost at the end from a stroke of bad luck.

Overall, this movie was entertaining but for all the wrong reasons: instead of focusing on the struggles of good versus evil, I observed the budding SuperBat relationship and the fallacies of Wonder Woman's outfit. This movie has brought me to a newfound hatred of Superman and frustration with Wonder Woman. Do not watch this movie if you have a sarcastic mind. ?
